Hot take: That studio lighting setup in Austin is way too blue

I stopped by the CreateACon pop-up in downtown Austin last weekend and watched a streamer's face look like a smurf for 20 minutes. The LED panels they were using had a color temp around 5500K but no diffusion at all. Anybody else notice that trend where new creators just blast blue light and call it professional?

Read somewhere that blue light at that temp can actually mess with your circadian rhythm if you're sitting under it for hours, which is rough for late night streams. Saw a video where a lighting tech explained that adding a simple diffuser or warming up to 3200K makes skin tones look way more natural and reduces that harsh shadow under the eyes. Guess some folks think cool white equals clean studio look but it really just turns everyone into an alien.

Dimmer switch on your lights saves your eyes and your stream quality, ever tried that?
