Just realized my "perfect" video schedule was hurting my channel

I talked to a creator at a meetup in Austin who posts twice a month max, but each video gets like 50k views. I've been killing myself posting every Tuesday and Thursday, and she asked "when's the last time you actually sat down and thought about what works?" That hit me hard because I couldn't remember. I'm trying one month of posting once a week to see if the quality jumps up. Has anyone else found a slower pace actually grew their channel faster?

Wait isn't 50k views the bare minimum for a living now?

torres.thea has a good point about monetization, but I used to believe pumping out content was the only way. Quality over quantity changed my mind after I tried it last year and saw my engagement double. A slower pace lets me really dig into what my audience wants, and it actually made time for better editing and storytelling.

Yeah 50k is nice but views don't pay the bills unless you're monetized well.
