My collab with a big YouTuber last month tanked my channel's views
We did a joint livestream and his fans left nasty comments saying I copied his style, then half my subs unsubbed. Has anyone else had a partnership backfire like this after putting in weeks of planning?

Flip the script and look at it from his fans angle - maybe they saw you as competition stealing their favorite creator's vibe, not just hating for no reason. Loyal fanbases can get real territorial when they think someone's borrowing their person's style or energy. Could the collab have accidentally framed you as a follower instead of a partner in their eyes?

People act like losing subs is the end of the world. It's like ten people on a Tuesday night, who cares. Half of them were probably bots anyway or just random lurkers. Not exactly a business killer.
