That one comment about my audio quality stung but it fixed my videos
Some random viewer said I sounded like I was recording in a bathroom. I was using my laptop mic in my small apartment and didn't think it mattered. Spent $60 on a used Blue Yeti off Facebook Marketplace and it made a huge difference. Has anyone else had a piece of feedback that hurt at first but ended up being the best thing for your content?

The worst criticism often points straight to the thing we were avoiding all along" really hit me. That's exactly what happened with my own videos actually. I kept getting comments about my lighting being too dark and it stung so bad because I thought I had it figured out. Turns out I was just too lazy to move my desk closer to the window. Once I finally did it the difference was night and day and I felt stupid for ignoring it for so long. It's like our brains want to protect us from hearing the truth but the truth is usually what makes everything better. Now I actually listen when someone points out something that makes me cringe a little.

Right?! I once got mad at someone for saying my audio was echoey... turns out my closet wasn't a studio.
