That YouTube analytics stat that made me laugh out loud
I was digging through my channel dashboard last night and found out that 60% of my viewers are watching from a phone model that came out 8 years ago. I spent 3 hours tweaking my 4K video settings for nothing lol. Anyone else have a stat that totally caught you off guard?

That line about "your old phone fans ARE your real fans" really hit home for me. In my experience, people who stick with you through the clunky early stuff are the ones who'll actually tell you the truth about your content. They're not just there for the hype. I've had to learn the hard way that it's better to keep that old phone around for a few weeks after upgrading. That way you can still reply to comments and DMs from folks who might not have the latest tech. Take this with a grain of salt, but I honestly think those slower loading times on older devices just make people appreciate your effort more.

Small correction - old phone fans aren't always your real fans, they're just the ones patient enough to stick with older hardware. Some of my most critical viewers actually watch on new phones because they're picky about video quality and production value. It's good advice to keep checking your videos on older devices, but don't assume the newest phone users care any less.
