Tried posting on TikTok at 6 AM for a week straight and my views tanked 60%

Yeah I thought the early bird thing would work since all the 'gurus' say post when your audience wakes up. But turns out my crowd is night owls apparently. I got like 200 views average on my normal 3 PM posts, then tried the 6 AM slot and barely broke 80 views each time. I checked analytics and my followers just aren't active that early. Has anyone else found that the standard advice about posting times is total garbage for their specific niche?
