Vent: People keep using the wrong thumbnail ratio on YouTube
I saw three big channels last week post videos with 4:3 thumbnails that get cropped on mobile, and it tanked their click rates-has anyone else noticed creators ignoring the 16:9 standard even after the studio tells them?

Point @wren638 straight at those clueless creators because 4:3 is basically a crime against mobile viewers. YouTube's been screaming 16:9 for years now, but some big channels still treat thumbnails like they're designing for a 2010 monitor. Cropped thumbs on mobile kill your CTR instantly since half the title text gets hidden behind the video player. These creators probably think their studio tab is just decoration, not actual advice they should follow. Fix your aspect ratio or watch your analytics drop like a stone, it's that simple.

crime against mobile viewers" feels a bit harsh, @wren638. I get why people push 16:9, but 4:3 can actually pop more on desktop where a lot of people still watch. Half the title text thing is overblown too, mobile crops vary by device and most viewers just glance at the thumb anyway.
