Wasted $200 on a trending editing preset pack last month...
Bought the "cinematic pro" pack from a creator with 100k followers and every single LUT crushed my blacks into mud and the grain overlay looked like static on an old TV, has anyone actually found a preset bundle that doesn't need hours of tweaking just to be usable?

I bought a $150 pack from a guy with half a million followers last year and the oranges were so blown out everyone looked like they had a spray tan. The only pack I ever got that worked right out of the box was from a smaller creator with around 15k followers who actually showed before and after footage, not just staged photos. You have to look for packs that include a demo file or a raw shot for you to test before you buy, which most big sellers won't do. Also, check the date on the pack - anything older than 2020 was probably made for a different camera sensor. The free packs from places like Ground Control or Lutify are honestly better than most paid ones if you're on a budget. Start there and save your money until you know what your specific camera actually needs.

Same thing happened to me. I dropped $80 on a "cinematic" pack from some YouTuber with a million subs and it turned all my shadows green. Total waste. The one that actually made my footage look good was from a random dude on YouTube with like 8k subscribers who posted a 10 minute tutorial showing exactly how he graded a clip. He even linked the pack in the description for free. I still use his teal and orange one for most of my stuff and it never fails. Big creators are just selling hype half the time.
