Question about that conversation that made me switch from cordless back to corded tools

I was at a job site last week in Austin and my battery died after just 2 cuts on a 4x4 post. My coworker handed me his corded circular saw and I finished the whole fence line without stopping once. Now I'm thinking I wasted $300 on two extra batteries and a charger when I could have just used an extension cord. Has anyone else switched back to corded for heavy work after going cordless?

Two cuts on a full battery is wild, what brand were you even using?

Oh man I've been there. What finally worked for me was switching to the Ryobi 6ah batteries, they last way longer even on something like a recip saw or circular saw. I used to get like three cuts out of a little 2ah battery on my sawzall and it was driving me crazy.
