That old barber in Tucson who quoted my own words back at me
I went to this tiny shop off Speedway last month, the one with the faded sign, just for a trim. The guy, probably 70, asked what I wanted and I said something like, "whatever keeps it out of my face." He stopped mid-snip and repeated that phrase, then asked if I ever say that about bigger things. I laughed it off, but sitting there I realized I've treated most decisions that way, just picking the easiest option. Has anyone else had a stranger make them hear their own lazy logic out loud? Maybe it's just me, but I can't shake it.
