The 5 minute chat with an old farmer that changed how I see patience
I was helping my uncle fix a tractor on his property a few years back, out in rural Ohio. This older neighbor, must have been 80, walked over and watched us for a while without saying a word. Then he just said, 'You're fighting that bolt, son. Let it tell you when it's ready.' I spent my whole life just muscling through problems, you know? In my shop, I'd get frustrated and force things, strip threads, make more work for myself. That one line made me slow down, listen to the machine more, and honestly, it's saved me countless hours and frustration since then. Has anyone else had a random comment from a stranger totally reshape how they work?
