Update: My neighbor told me to stop pruning my roses in fall and I ignored her for 2 years

Finally tried leaving them alone last October after she kept bugging me, and my bushes bloomed twice as heavy this spring. Has anyone else dealt with someone being right about yard work advice you were sure was wrong?

You mentioned proving yourself wrong first, and honestly that's exactly how I operate too. I spent two full summers fighting my garden before I finally gave up and tried it the neighbor's way. Now I'm sitting here with bushes that look like they belong in a magazine, feeling pretty silly about it. It got me thinking maybe I should start listening to people about my lawn too, but only after I mess that up for a season first.
