I used to memorize every phone number I had, now I can't even recall my sister's
I had maybe 40 numbers memorized back in high school, including my best friend's landline and my grandma's place in Tucson, but after I got my first flip phone I stopped bothering and now I don't know a single one by heart. Last Tuesday my phone died at the grocery store and I stood there like a fool because I couldn't call my wife to ask if we needed milk. Does anyone else feel weird about losing that skill, or is it just me being dramatic?

Man, 40 numbers? That blows my mind. I couldn't tell you my own mom's cell number right now if you put a gun to my head. It's wild how we all just handed that skill over to our phones without even thinking about it. The part about standing in the store with a dead phone really gets me, because that's gonna be all of us at some point.
