She caught me rushing through my math sheet to be first done and said "slow is smooth, and smooth is fast." I was 9 and had no clue what it meant, but I catch myself saying it out loud every time I try to skip steps on a roof tear-off, so did anyone else get a random line from a teacher that just stuck?
