That time a 7 year old asked me why I don't play anymore
Last weekend my niece saw my old guitar in the corner and asked why it was just sitting there. I told her I used to play a lot but life got busy and she said 'so you just stopped doing something you liked for no real reason?' It hit way harder than it should have. Has anyone else had a kid call them out on something simple like that?

Kids have a way of cutting through all the excuses we tell ourselves without even trying. That question hits because she's right, there wasn't a real reason, just a slow drift away from something that mattered. Adults are great at letting hobbies die a quiet death under a pile of bills and tired nights. The fact that a seven year old can spot it in two seconds says something about how much we overcomplicate our own lives. Might be worth dusting off that guitar just to prove her wrong.

But isn't it okay to let some things go when life changes?

@rubyk26 sure, but don't you miss the good parts too...
