That time my grandpa made me wait 15 minutes before opening the oven door

You know that feeling when you're sure about something for years and then one conversation flips it all around? Last month my buddy from high school finally convinced me that my go-to method for freezing garden tomatoes was actually making them worse, not better.

Honestly @the_jana has a point. My nana swore by freezing peppers whole and my dad spent like ten years trying to convince her that slicing them first was way better. She finally tried it last summer and just went "huh, okay.

My grandma froze tomatoes the same way for 40 years and they were always fine for sauces and soups. Maybe your buddy is just picky about texture in things that are getting cooked down anyway.

Hold on, your grandma used the same freezing method for four entire decades without changing anything?
