Checked out a salon in Nashville last week and noticed something about their wash station setup
I was visiting a friend in Nashville and stopped by a salon she raves about. Their wash bowls had these little padded neck rests that were curved way different than mine at home. I asked the stylist about it and she said they switched 6 months ago because clients kept complaining about neck strain. Has anyone tried those ergonomic neck rests or are they just another gimmick that gets in the way?

Yeah those curved rests are hit or miss. Try jamming a rolled towel under your neck instead.

That thing about the neck rests sounds familiar. I feel like everything is getting these weird ergonomic tweaks now, like my mom bought a new kitchen faucet that you can pull out from the handle, and it just sprays water everywhere when you try to fill a pot. It's like people finally realized that sitting in a chair for an hour with your neck bent backwards is actually painful, so they added a little curved pillow. But sometimes these fixes just create new problems, like getting shampoo in your ears or the rest being too high and poking your shoulder blades.

Wait the neck rest was poking their shoulder blades? That's insane. Last thing I need is something jabbing me while I'm trying to relax. Sounds like they traded one pain for another honestly.
