Dropped $180 on a standing magnifier lamp in 2021, and my neck is still thanking me
For years I was doing lash sets and brow tinting hunched over like a gargoyle, squinting at 2x readers from the drugstore. My neck and lower back were wrecked by Friday every single week, and I honestly thought that was just the job. Then a stylist at the salon in Boise told me her chiropractor bill was $90 a visit until she got a proper magnifier with a long arm and a bright LED ring. I paid $180 for one and felt sick about it for a week, but within a couple days I noticed I wasn't leaning in as far and my head wasn't craned down. Two years later the bulb still works and my posture at the chair is way better. The cheap part of me wants to know if the $60 ones on the big sites hold up, or if that is just throwing money at a sore neck again.
