Dropped $80 on a fancy hair steamer and honestly it was a game changer for dry clients
Tbh I was skeptical about spending that much on a steamer from Sally's but after using it on three clients with super dry ends the difference was night and day. One client even asked if I changed my conditioner routine. Has anyone else tried the steamer trick for deep conditioning treatments?

That thing about the client asking if you changed conditioner is really the tell. It's wild how often we overlook the simple things like heat and moisture delivery in favor of buying yet another expensive product. Makes you wonder how many "problems" we try to solve with fancy bottles when it's really just the method that needs a tweak.

Counterpoint: sometimes the expensive stuff actually does work. I've seen clients switch to drugstore heat protectants and immediately get fried ends. Technique matters but so do ingredients.

Easy for @hall.joel to say when he's probably charging $150 for a cut, but he's not wrong about ingredients. Me, I'm just trying to get my money's worth out of a $80 steamer before one of my clients asks me to start using Evian on their hair.
