Had a client's color turn green during a toner application yesterday

I was doing a toner on a client with pre-lightened hair at my station. The toner was supposed to be a cool beige, but it started pulling a definite green tint as it processed. I realized the underlying pigment was too yellow from the lightening. I rinsed it immediately and applied a direct dye in a warm peach shade to neutralize it, which fixed the issue. Has anyone else had a toner go sideways like that, and what's your go-to fix?

Disagree, the toner formula was likely off.

Yeah, the formula was definitely messed up, mine turned orange too.

My friend's hair went orange too, same batch.

Kind of disagree with you both on this. My sister and I bought from the same batch and hers went copper while mine came out totally fine. Might be that the base color underneath was different or the developer ratio got mixed up.
