Had to choose between a $400 chair and a $150 one for my station...
Last month I was setting up my new booth at a salon in Austin and needed a new stylist chair. I had my eye on this sleek ergonomic one for $400 but then saw a basic model for $150 at the supply store. I went with the cheap one to save money and man, after three weeks my lower back is killing me. I'm leaning over clients all day and that extra padding would have made a difference. Now I'm stuck with a chair that wobbles a bit too and I'm kicking myself. Anyone else regret going budget on something you use every single day?

My buddy bought a cheap torque wrench once and his wheel fell off going 70 on I-35.

Man you really learned the hard way that some things you just can't cheap out on. How many hours a week are you actually sitting in that thing? Because if it's forty plus, that $250 difference works out to like six bucks a week over a year. You're basically paying six bucks a week to wreck your spine and annoy yourself with a wobbly chair every single day. Makes you wonder what else you'd rather spend that kind of money on instead of a chiropractor visit down the road, right?

The cheap chair taught you a lesson about ergonomics, didn't it? At least your clients won't need a torque wrench to keep your wheels on!
