Heard a stylist at a salon in Denver say thin hair needs more product not less... changed my whole approach

I always assumed thin/fine hair meant go light on products so it wouldnt get weighed down. But this lady was telling her client that thin hair actually needs a solid amount of volume mousse and root spray to get any grip. Tried it with my own clients this week and the difference is wild. Has anyone else tried pushing more product on fine hair by accident?

Solidarity for sure. I used to be so scared to touch fine hair with mousse. Total game changer when you just go for it and pile on the grip products.

Piling it on was the only thing that actually worked for me. I used to be super careful with mousse thinking less is more but my fine hair just ate it up and left me with nothing. Started using like a good sized scoop and working it through soaking wet hair, then scrunching like crazy. My waves actually hold now instead of falling flat by lunch. Took me way too long to realize fine hair wants the grip, not the gentle touch.

Wait, pile on the mousse? Like a full palmful?
