Hit 500 perms this month and my hands finally gave out on me

After doing my 500th perm this month I couldn't grip my scissors this morning, which made me realize I need to start taking breaks between clients or I'll hurt myself long term, has anyone else dealt with hand fatigue from repetitive work?

Right @spencer_coleman? My wrist locked up after a long dye session too, it's brutal.

That's a tough lesson to learn but a really important one. It's funny how we push through things until our bodies literally stop us, isn't it? Hand fatigue from repetitive work is so common, but people treat it like it's just normal to be in pain every day. I've seen so many people ignore the small warning signs until they can't even do their basic tasks. Taking real breaks between clients is smart, even if it feels like you're slowing down. Your hands will thank you later for respecting those limits now.

Honestly, a few minutes of stretching between clients saved me from needing surgery on my wrists.
