PSA: I wrote off roller sets for years until a bride in Tampa made me do one
Did a bridal party back in March where the mom wanted hot rollers and I almost talked her out of it. It held better in that Florida humidity than any wand job I've done, and the photos at 10pm still had bounce. Now I'm second guessing why I pushed clients toward blowouts for so long, does anyone else keep hot rollers in their kit these days?
The line about photos at 10pm still having bounce is what got me. My old coworker did a beach wedding in Destin last summer and her girl's curls went flat before the cake was even cut, all because she used a wand in that soup air. Her mom had told her to bring the hot rollers, she laughed it off, and she still hears about it. She bought a set the next week and now they ride in her kit right next to the irons. Humidity down here does not play around and heat that sets from the inside out just holds different.
