Question about those cheap color swatch books
I dropped $80 on a new color line's swatch book and it was a total waste. The colors on the paper look NOTHING like they do on actual hair, so I gave a client a copper that turned out neon orange. Has anyone found a brand where the swatches are actually accurate?

Oh man, I feel your neon orange pain! I once bought a swatch book for a "soft auburn" shade and it came out looking like a traffic cone on my cousin's wedding day. I probably could have saved myself the trouble by just closing my eyes and pointing at a random Crayola marker. Swatch books are basically designer lottery tickets I swear!

Those swatch books are basically fancy lies on paper lol. I had one where the "ash brown" looked like a nice neutral and it came out straight up green on my friend. It's like they design them under magic fairy lights that change everything. You're better off looking at pictures of real hair online, the swatches are just expensive coasters at this point.
