Remember when we'd do a full bleach and tone in one go? Had a client's hair snap off mid-process in 2012.

I was in a tiny booth in Cincinnati, and the ends just gave out during the toner rinse. I had to cut it into a short bob on the spot and comp the whole service. Anyone else have a bleach disaster that made you change your whole approach?

Did we all just collectively decide to stop doing that after a certain year? I swear 2012 was the last time I tried to be a hero with a one-session platinum... never again.

The real trick is to pick one game a year that you actually love enough to grind. Did that with Elden Ring last year and it felt like the old days without wrecking my sleep for months. You gotta treat those trophies like a special occasion now, not a full time job. Once you accept that you can't keep up with the kids anymore, it gets way more fun again.
