Shoutout to the lady who called out my choppy layers at the grocery store

Was grabbing milk at Publix on Tuesday and a woman stops me to say my haircut looked like I did it blindfolded. She was right, I rushed through a client's curtain bang trim and my own hair paid the price. Made me realize I need to slow down no matter how backed up I am. Anyone else get called out by a stranger on their own work?

A stranger actually called out your haircut in the middle of a grocery store? That's brutal, I would have just died right there in the dairy aisle.

OH man, that's the thing about stuff like that. It's not just the crying-it's the way your brain locks up and suddenly you're staring at them like a deer in headlights. You'd probably rewind that moment in your head for DAYS later, like what should I have said? Could I have laughed it off? But instead you just stand there with your mouth hanging open, maybe a little shaky, and then you have to walk past them to get to the freezer section. And it gets worse if they just keep looking at you, waiting for a comeback or something. I'd rather trip over my own feet in front of everyone than have someone call me out like that, because at least tripping is just clumsy, ya know? That comment sticks with you.
