Switched to sectioning clips instead of butterfly clips for balayage

I used to do all my balayage with those cheap butterfly clips from Sally Beauty. After a client in Austin had her hair snag really bad I switched to the metal sectioning clips from the brand Atomic. They are like 12 dollars for a pack of 6 but they grip way better and dont rust. Has anyone else had problems with butterfly clips grabbing too much hair?

Oh man, the snagging is the worst. Butterfly clips always pulled way too much of my hair out. I switched to the metal sectioning clips too and it made a huge difference. They just hold better and don't get all rusty after a few washes.

Yeah those butterfly clips always grabbed like half my hair too. The metal clips are just way more reliable.

Last week I accidentally dropped a whole pack of those metal clips and they scattered everywhere under my station. Took me like 20 minutes to find them all while my client just sat there scrolling on her phone. Kind of miss the butterfly clips for how easy they were to just toss in a drawer.
