That $6 mixing bowl moment in Miami changed my balayage game

So I've been doing balayage for like 4 years and always used the same bowl from beauty school. Last Tuesday a client brought in this cheap stainless bowl from her kitchen and asked me to use it. I thought she was joking but tried it anyway. The color stayed way more even because the metal kept the bleach cooler, no more heat buildup messing with the lift. Anyone else got a random non-pro tool that lowkey works better than the salon stuff?

That "metal kept the bleach cooler" part is so real. I grabbed a cheap ice cube tray from the dollar store once to mix small batches of toner. Keeps everything cold and separate, no more warm gloop on the roots. Honestly the salon prep bowls are just fancy versions of stuff we already have at home. Nobody talks about it but the pro stuff is overpriced a lot of the time. Just gotta be careful about what metals you use with certain chemicals.
