Unpopular opinion: I stopped layering highlights and got better results
For about 5 years I did the whole babylight stacking technique on every client. It worked fine but took forever and looked too busy sometimes. Two summers ago a client named Carla told me her hair looked like stripes even though I blended for an hour. I went back to single-process foil work with strategic placement instead. Anyone else find that simpler methods actually look more natural on certain hair types?
