Why I finally stopped using hair oil before cutting curly hair
I tried a dry cutting method after watching a stylist on IG and my layers actually landed where they were supposed to without the weight of the oil pulling everything down - has anyone else ditched the pre-cut products?

12 inches of hair gone wrong once taught me that lesson the hard way.

Watching 12 inches fall to the floor after a bad dye job at a place called Curl Up & Dye was rough. I started using a gentle sulfate-free shampoo and only washing twice a week, which helped a ton. Also, a little bit of argan oil on the ends before bed made a huge difference in stopping breakage. What kind of routine are you doing now to keep your hair healthy?

I read somewhere that heat protectant sprays can actually make a big difference too, even if you're just using a blow dryer on low. The study I saw said they reduce moisture loss from the hair shaft by a pretty good amount. It might be worth adding one to your routine if you haven't tried it yet.
