Hot take: 1,000 hours logged doesn't mean what everyone thinks it means

I hit 1,000 hours on my Liebherr LTM 1050 last month and people acted like I was some kind of master operator now. But honestly, I think that number is way overrated. Half those hours were just easy picks on flat ground and I still struggle with tight lifts in the city. I learned more in my first 50 hours doing residential rebuilds in Philly than in my last 300 on commercial sites. Has anyone else felt like the hour count gets more respect than actual skill?

Ruby, I've got 1,000 hours on my LTM 1050 and I still sometimes set the outriggers wrong and look like a goof. More hours just means more chances to prove I'm still learning.
