Old iron worker in Chicago taught me a hand signal I never saw before
I was on a site near Wacker Drive last August and this grizzled guy with 40 years in flagged me down mid-lift. He showed me a "slow creep" signal with two fingers tapping his palm that isn't in any manual I've ever seen. Has anyone else picked up unofficial hand signals from seasoned guys on site?

grizzled guy with 40 years" sounds like a story he's been telling for 40 years too. honestly might've just been messing with you to see if you'd believe it.

Ngl that's probably exactly what happened. Guy probably tells that story to every new face that sits down and waits to see who buys it.
