That day a seagull tried to direct my lift near the waterfront
Last Tuesday in Portland, I was swinging a bundle of steel beams near the docks when a seagull decided to land right on my load line and started squawking at me like it was giving signals. My spotter nearly fell over laughing, and I had to wait 4 whole minutes before it flew off.

Man, that's hilarious. A buddy of mine in Boston had a seagull land on his forklift mast while he was stacking pallets by the fish market. The thing just stood there staring at him like it was waiting for a tip or something. @miles_burns that crow story is wild too - birds have no respect for the construction hierarchy. At least your friend's crow was trying to help, this seagull just held up my buddy's whole shift for 10 minutes before another seagull showed up and they started fighting over a french fry in the parking lot.

Buddy of mine had this happen to him but with a crow while he was trying to unload lumber from a flatbed. The crow sat on his shoulder for a solid 5 minutes and kept pecking his hat like it was telling him where to stack the boards. His coworker got it on video and now it's his Facebook profile picture.
