That week in 2017 when nothing went right on a high-rise job in Austin

I spent three straight days fighting a stuck swing pin on a Liebherr 130, then the radio died right as a gust caught a 6-ton steel beam. Has anyone else had a job where every single little thing seemed to gang up on you?

Imagine a traffic jam caused by a single squirrel (it happens more than you'd think).

Wait, @spencer_coleman, you ever seen what happens when a squirrel actually makes it across the road but then changes its mind halfway? It's like the whole highway forgets how to drive right.

Been there. Stuck pins and dead radios are the worst combo. My rule now is always carry a backup handheld. Cheap Baofeng saved my ass more than once. For swing pins, make sure you're using the right grease for the temperature. Hot Texas summers turn it to soup, cold mornings get thick as tar. Also, a little heat from a torch on the outer sleeve can break the bond. If it's still stuck after that, you're looking at an extraction tool. Those days where everything fights you just make you better at catching the next problem early. Keep your head on a swivel and don't let the frustration make you rush.
