The load cell on my LTM 1160 read 12 tons light Tuesday

We were lifting a 38 ton heat exchanger at a refinery in Baton Rouge and the crane's computer said 26 but my gut said heavier, so I dumped the load and sure enough the cell was bad, has anyone else had this creep up without an error code?
