Watching a guy in Seattle lose a load off his hook taught me to always check my rigging twice
I was on a job site near the waterfront when a guy rushed his rigging and the load shifted about 8 feet, and now I do a slow walk around every pick before I ever touch the controls, has anyone else had a close call that made them change their routine?
A buddy of mine had a chain slip on him years back and the load came down maybe a foot from where he was standing. Scared him so bad he started doing the same slow walk every single time, no exceptions. Funny how one bad day changes your whole routine forever.
