My color calibration tool gave up mid-session yesterday

I was working on a client's branding project for a local coffee shop in Austin when my SpyderX stopped reading my monitor. It just flashed an error code and refused to calibrate. I had to finish the job using my phone's screen as a reference. Has anyone else had a calibration tool break at the worst possible time?

Wait @west.richard, you can seriously tell the difference between "bluish white" and "off-white" with your naked eye?

Man, that's brutal. Relying on your phone screen for color work sounds like a nightmare. How did you even manage to guess the right tones with a phone that's probably set to some auto-brightness or vivid mode?
