Overheard a graphic designer say 'just use Canva' to a client and I nearly lost it

She told them it does the same thing as InDesign for $12 a month. Has anyone else had to fix messes from people downplaying pro tools?

Wait, they thought linked text would just transfer over? How does that even work?

Ngl my friend had a client bring in a Canva file with text linked to random stock photos and expected her to just "open it in InDesign" like that's how it works. Took her three hours to rebuild it from scratch.

Hang on, who just casually has linked text in Canva files like that's a normal thing to do? That's wild, I can't believe they just handed that over and expected magic.
