...and honestly I was one of the loud ones making it miserable. Every week I'd show up with some half baked idea and talk for twenty minutes about it while everyone nodded politely. The quiet is way better. It means people finally stopped pretending they cared about my "big picture" nonsense and just went back to whatever actually works for them. I still attend sometimes but I mostly sit in the back and take notes like a normal human being. My networking skills are basically learning how to shut up and listen, which took me way too long to figure out.
