Chose between a fantasy novel and a memoir for my next writing project
I spent two months this spring trying to decide between writing a fantasy novel about a cursed river or a memoir about my time volunteering at a shelter in Memphis. I went with the fantasy, but after 40 pages I keep thinking about the real stories I left behind. Has anyone here switched genres mid-project and regretted it or been glad you did?
