Dropped $60 on a writing software bundle that promised plot structuring magic
It just gave me a bunch of spreadsheets I could've made myself, anyone else get burned by those fancy tool packs online?

Sixty bucks? That's wild. I'd be furious if I dropped that much and just got spreadsheets. Those software people know how to make a product look fancy in the ads but it's just a trick. Reminds me of those expensive plugins I see for stuff that a simple notebook could do.

Bought a $50 "productivity system" once and it was just a PDF with links to free templates.

Hear me out though - sometimes paying for a system forces you to actually commit to using it. I bought a $30 planner template years ago and yeah, I could have found everything for free, but having it all laid out made me stick with it for months. Not saying $50 is a good deal for a PDF, but the cost itself can be the motivator.
