Got told I was too precious with my characters, so I killed one off in chapter 3
A beta reader said my protagonist was too safe, nothing bad ever stuck to her. So I wrote a scene where a random car accident took out her brother and it totally unlocked how the rest of the story should go. Has anyone else gotten feedback that forced you to wreck your own plan?
