Just compared 3 different plot outline methods across 2 short stories
Tried the snowflake method on one story and the three act structure on another, and the snowflake one had way more depth by the end, has anyone else found one method that just clicks better for them?

Oh man, "way more depth" - I think my snowflake method attempts usually end up looking like a kindergartner's doodle on a napkin. Your mileage may vary obviously but I swear my brain just short circuits trying to expand those tiny details.

@riley_wood84 you're spot on about the snowflake method feeling like a kindergartner's doodle sometimes. For me it really depends on the story though. The three act structure works great for action plots but falls apart for more character driven stuff in my experience. With the snowflake method I usually stop at the one page synopsis step and just go straight to writing from there, skipping the whole expanding paragraphs thing. Quick question - when you tried snowflake did you do every single step or just the first few? That made a big difference for me personally.
