Question about using a 'character flaw generator' from a writing site

I was stuck on a side character for my mystery novel and, as a joke, I used a random 'flaw generator' from a prompt website called WritingExercises. It gave me 'compulsively counts sidewalk cracks', which felt silly, but I wrote it in anyway. That tiny detail ended up being the key clue that solved the whole case in chapter seven, which honestly shocked me. Has a random prompt ever given you something that weirdly worked?

Totally, I had a generator spit out "fear of porcelain dolls" for a background character and it accidentally explained their whole alibi.

Yeah I saw a whole thread about weird phobias in writing.

Actually saw that thread too, it was about phobias in real life.
