Pro tip: I heard my coworker in Sacramento say he only uses 10% of his credit limit each month

He was telling someone he keeps his balance under $300 on a $3,000 card to help his score. I always just paid the bill in full, which is good, but I never thought about the percentage of the limit I was using. I looked it up and that's the 'utilization' part they always talk about. Has anyone else seen a real jump in their score by keeping that number low like that?

Yeah, keeping my usage under 10% gave my score a solid bump too.

What about paying it off weekly?

Try paying it off twice a month instead, that really locks in the low usage.

That's the trick my bank guy told me about last year.
