A buddy told me my password manager setup was dangerously wrong
So I've been using Bitwarden for like 2 years now, just the free version. I had my master password saved in a text file on my desktop because I kept forgetting it. My friend who works in IT saw that and freaked out. He said if someone got into my PC they'd have everything. I changed it to a really long passphrase I can actually remember and turned on two factor. But now I'm wondering what else I'm doing dumb. Anyone else get called out on something basic like that?

Man I feel that, it's so easy to do something like that without thinking it through. Good on you for actually listening to him and fixing it right away though.

@miles_burns exactly, and the funny thing is I've done that kind of thing so many times I should probably just tape a sign to my forehead that says "think before you speak." my brain just goes straight from idea to action with no filter in between. it's honestly a miracle I haven't accidentally started a small war in a group chat or something. glad he called me out before I made it worse though.

My brain runs a direct express lane from dumb idea to action.
