Can we talk about those password manager ads?

I brushed them off for like 3 years thinking it was just another subscription trap. Then my buddy had his email taken over last summer and I finally tried Bitwarden for $10 a year. Anyone else do a complete 180 on something they thought was overhyped?

Oh man, right there with you. I spent years just clicking "remind me later" on every password manager offer, convinced it was just another company trying to squeeze me for subscription fees. Then my bank account got flagged for fraud after I reused the same password on three sites and someone cracked it through a data breach. Now I'm over here using LastPass and honestly feel stupid for not doing it sooner. The auto-fill thing alone saves me like 10 minutes a day typing in random logins. Totally worth the $36 a year for peace of mind.

Isn't it wild how we'll happily pay $5 for a coffee every day but balk at spending $36 a year on something that actually protects our money? I think that's just how our brains are wired, we'd rather deal with a big problem later than spend a tiny amount now to prevent it. The fraud alert was probably the kick you needed to stop trusting your own memory with important stuff, same way I finally started using two-factor after a similar scare.
