Finally ditched password managers for a hardware key
Been using LastPass for 6 years but after that breach I got nervous. Switched to a YubiKey about 2 months ago and it's way simpler. Anyone else ditch software for a physical key and regret it?

Yeah nah that's the part nobody talks about enough. I mean, I love my YubiKey for my personal laptop and phone, but the second you need to sign into your bank on a friend's Chromebook or a library computer, you're just stuck. I ended up keeping a backup password manager with just my most important logins saved on there specifically for those situations. It feels like cheating but honestly it beats being locked out of your email when you're traveling.

6 years on LastPass is wild, I only made it 3 before that same breach pushed me out. For me it was the 2022 breach that finally made me jump. But here is my question for you: how do you handle logging in on devices that dont have USB or NFC? I tried going full YubiKey a while back but ran into problems on public library computers and old work laptops that only had regular USB ports. Did you find a workaround for those situations or do you just avoid using those devices now?
