Found out the hard way that using the same password for 12 accounts is asking for trouble after my email got hijacked last Tuesday

Took me 6 hours to reset everything and I'm still finding accounts I missed - has anyone else dealt with this nightmare after a breach?

Oh wow, that six-hour reset sounds brutal. lmao I had a similar mess last year when my old college email got popped and I lost access to like 14 different services including a streaming account and my grocery delivery. The worst part was finding the accounts I forgot about like that one forum I signed up for in 2016 with a terrible pizza recipe username. Definitely learned to use a password manager after that, it saves so much headache when you can just copy paste new passwords for everything. Also turned on two-factor for email and banking accounts first thing since that's the main gateway.

Six hours to reset, oof @murray.jana, I once locked myself out of my own Netflix for a week because I forgot the password I set that morning.
